As predicted, RHEL9 was released today... as was RHEL 8.6 and Fedora 36. Big release day. Here's a marketing video on the new release. I'm sure more videos, some with actual technical content, will follow.
UPDATE: But not really. They announced today and in the announcement they said, "in the coming weeks". But during their first day Red Hat Summit keynote, Mike McGrath said it would be out "next week". I'm going with the later although we'll just have to wait and see.
I haven't really seen anyone mention that RHEL 8.6 was released but logging into my Red Hat account and checking the available download media, 8.6 iso were posted today. When last I checked (late in the day), the 8.6 docs hadn't been posted yet and the 8.6 Beta docs were still listed. I'd expect that to be resolved by tomorrow.
AlmaLinux 9 Beta came out yesterday... so I decided to record a screencast showing installing it, post install first-boot... and adding additional repos, software and even use KVM with KVM... and I can report that nested-KVM is working fine.
LFNW hasn't been in person since the start of the pandemic. I don't think it was even held in 2020. Anyhoo, they played it safe for 2022... and put in a bit of effort with planning what will hopefully be a very successful virtual event for 2022... this weekend. Check out the schedule to see what interests you:

YouTube entity My Life in Gaming has come out with a comprehensive/long video covering the MiSTer FPGA and how it is had a major impact in the retro gaming industry. Enjoy!
The video is over 2.5 hours but luckily they do have an index for skipping over and directly accessing whatever might interest you the most.
On Feb. 28th the Raspberry Pi turned 10 years old. Here's a video from the Raspberry Pi Project to commemorate that milestone. Enjoy
"The early days of Unix at Bell Labs" - Brian Kernighan (LCA 2022 Online) Enjoy!
I have a USB-based two-player arcade-style controller but I really would like something in a traditional stand-up arcade cabinet form-factor. Ideally, it'd be a JAMMA cabinet. MiSTer Addons designed and is selling (currently sold-out) the MiSTercade that allows you to plug the DE10-Nano board into it and then just put it in a JAMMA cabinet and it should "just work". Buyers are just starting to get their units from the first production run and reviews are starting to come in. They sure look nice. Enjoy!
In so many ways, this video is amazing... even if I don't try to set up one of these myself. Enjoy!
I'm guessing, given the fact that I've posted a considerable amount of content on it already, that you know what the MiSTer is. Here's a presentation from the Retro World Expo 2021 (just a few days ago) by two prominent retro YouTubers. Two things that come through in their presentation are how new stuff is always coming out for the MiSTer (hardware addons, software cores, etc), as well as how passionate they are for such a well performing device. Enjoy!
