Video: MiSTer FPGA Atari Jaguar W-I-P core Update

Submitted by Scott Dowdle on Sun, 03/08/2026 - 11:27

In the past couple of weeks there has been a lot of work done on the Atari Jaguar work-in-progress core for the MiSTer FPGA.  Timing was fine tuned, the CD streaming buffer / cache was enlarged for smooth playback, the Virtual Light Machine (VLM) was greatly improved, and support for GameDrive/Homebrew was added.  I made a video that contrasts the previous core build with one from yesterday.   Much thanks to MiSTer FPGA developers Kitrinx and GrayRogue. Enjoy!

At the recent Open Source Summit in Seoul, South Korea, Jon Corbet gave yet another talk on Linux kernel development... this time focusing on it's 34th anniversary and giving long-term trends.  His talks are always very good, and data driven.  Enjoy!
